These terms apply when you use this website, request a rate or tender a load to Laneway Freight & Warehousing, LLC. A signed carrier agreement or bill of lading takes priority over these terms where the two differ.
Rates and quotes
Written rates are valid for 7 days and cover the lane, equipment and dates in your request. Changes to weight, dimensions, accessorials or dates can change the rate. Every rate is all-in unless an accessorial is listed separately.
Tendering a load
A load is booked once we confirm it in writing and send a load number. You are responsible for accurate commodity descriptions, weights and hazmat declarations, and for having freight ready during the agreed pickup window.
Detention and accessorials
Two hours of free time are included at pickup and at delivery. Detention after that is billed at $75 an hour. Liftgate, inside delivery, appointments and layovers are quoted in advance.
Liability and claims
Cargo liability follows 49 U.S.C. § 14706 and is limited to $100,000 per load unless a higher value is agreed in writing before pickup. Claims must be filed in writing within 9 months of delivery, with the bill of lading, the delivery receipt and proof of value.
Payment
Invoices are due within 30 days of delivery. Late balances may carry a 1.5% monthly charge.
Using this website
Do not try to access other customers’ shipment information or copy the site’s content without permission.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio. Disputes go to the state or federal courts in Franklin County, Ohio.
